The passing of Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic occurred on Wednesday at the age of 46. He suffered a heart attack during a team dinner on Tuesday evening in Salt Lake City, where the Warriors were slated to face the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
Born in Serbia, Milojevic had joined the Warriors in 2021, bringing with him an impressive international background in both playing and coaching. He earned the title of Adriatic League MVP for three consecutive seasons (2004-2006), marking him as the only three-time MVP in the league’s history.
Head Coach Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors issued a statement on Wednesday addressing Milojevic’s passing.
