Edinburgh took command of the game early on and maintained control throughout, securing their place in the knockout stages. Edinburgh, in need of a bonus-point win to advance, continued to dominate. Scarlets struggled against Edinburgh’s solid defense, and despite Tomi Lewis’s spirited run, they couldn’t breach the opposition.
Grant Gilchrist received a second yellow card for a high challenge on 72 minutes, but Scarlets’ efforts were in vain. Tomi Lewis was held up over the line, and in the final minutes, Ryan Conbeer scored a consolation try. An attack from deep saw Edinburgh reduced to 13 players, but the match concluded with Scarlets unable to overturn the deficit.
