The Jets may undergo a change of leadership if things don’t work out in 2024.
Additionally, Mike Vrabel is the target of Boomer Esiason of WFAN, a 1988 NFL MVP quarterback who spent three seasons with the Jets.
On Tuesday, Esiason stated, “That’s the kind of coach I want on my sideline.” “I want a coach who is intimidating.” Next year, he will be at the top of everyone’s list. If he isn’t on the Jets’ roster, it’s hardly surprising. Everything is up in my opinion. They will win and everyone will keep their jobs if Aaron Rodgers performs well. But what if he struggles and we end up back where we were this year?
After Tennessee finished 6-11 in the previous season, Vrabel was let go as head coach of the Titans. He was unable to secure a new position, hence he will not take over as head coach in 2024.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Vrabel’s frightening physical build—which Esiason desires on the Jets sideline—was a contributing factor in his rejection from another head coaching position this offseason. Vrabel is 6 feet 4 inches and 261 pounds.
On The Athletic Football Show, she stated, “I had a general manager at the Senior Bowl who mentioned to me Vrabel’s physical build, that he’s a very large human being and can be very intimidating to people in an organization that are going to be part of these decisions.” “And that plays a role.”
As a player, Vrabel won three Super Bowl titles. In six seasons as the Titans’ head coach, he had a 54-45 record.
