Another day, another scheduled recruiting visit for a five-star prospect in the top class of 2025. Caleb Cunningham, a gifted wide receiver from Ackerman, Mississippi, revealed his itinerary of future travels earlier this week, which included a trip to LSU in early March.
Another five-star recruit from the class of 2025 is scheduled to visit LSU football in the upcoming weeks.
This offseason, the purple and gold lost two of their top wide receiver prospects to date, and LSU coach Brian Kelly doesn’t seem to be interested in reassembling the team. Rather, he’s trying to retool, and thus far, it’s been quite successful.
The Tigers are adding five new pass catchers in the class of 2024, including two four-star transfers and three four-star recruits.
With one five-star and one four-star already committed, he is currently on a similar trend as we go toward the 2025 cycle. However, it looks like they’re not done yet since, according to a report by Chad Simmons of On3, class of 2025 five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham is scheduled to visit Baton Rouge on March 8.
Cunningham’s schedule for the next two months is impressive, as he has visits scheduled with Ole Miss (March 4), Florida State (March 23), Auburn (March 30), Tennessee (April 1), Miami (April 6), Florida (April 13), and Texas A&M (April 19) in addition to LSU.
Notably, even though On3 and 247Sports both rank Mississippi State as the overwhelming favorite to sign him,
He doesn’t have a planned visitation date with the Bulldogs for this spring.
He said to Simmons, “Mississippi State will get a visit too, but I can go there multiple times because it’s just 30 minutes from home,” so it doesn’t appear that things are going in a different route.
Cunningham currently stands as one of the nation’s top wide receivers. All things considered, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound star from Choctaw County High School, who is rated as a five-star and ranked as the 11th best player in the nation, will probably have his choice of any college in the nation.
Two outstanding wide receivers from the class of 2025 have already committed to the purple and gold. However, if coach Brian Kelly can get Cunningham to leave the in-state Bulldogs, adding a powerful red zone danger like him might be very beneficial to the team as a whole.
