S Theo Jackson has re-signed, the Minnesota Vikings announced.
As a free agent with exclusive rights, Minnesota would just need to offer him the minimum compensation commensurate with his years of experience in order to retain him.
Tennessee native Jackson, 25, was selected by the Titans in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. When the Titans dismissed him at the end of the preseason, he was in the first year of a four-year rookie contract for $3.8 million.
Before Jackson was added to the Vikings’ main roster later in the season, Tennessee re-signed him to the practice squad.
For the Vikings in 15 games in 2023, Jackson totaled 21 tackles, one interception, and one pass deflection.
