Jones is coming off a productive 2023 season where he played all 16 games, recording 48 tackles, a pair of interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and four passes defended.
This move follows the recent release of Pro Bowl safety Justin Simmons by the Broncos, aimed at reducing costs.

However, injuries limited Jones to just seven games in 2022, where he recorded 49 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.
While replacing Simmons will be a challenge, Jones presents a solid option and is considerably younger than Simmons, by about four and a half years. This move signifies a youth-oriented approach for the Broncos at the safety position.
With a moderate cap space available, the Broncos are poised to address various needs across their roster during the offseason.
Nonetheless, the pressing concern remains the quarterback position, following the release of Russell Wilson, leaving the team without a clear solution under center for the 2024 season.
