While Jarrett Stidham may start in Week 1, the Broncos are considering drafting a quarterback in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos are facing limited options in the upcoming draft because they will be picking at No. 12, just ahead of their division rival, the Las Vegas Raiders, who hold the No. 13 pick. Despite the possibility that several quarterbacks may be taken before the Broncos’ turn, they still have a chance to select a talented rookie quarterback like Bo Nix from the University of Oregon. Nix, who recently appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, shared his positive experience of meeting head coach Sean Payton, stating that it was enjoyable and insightful.
As of the current assessment, Bo Nix is not projected to be selected in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft. Instead, he could be a potential early second-round pick, similar to Will Levis last year when he was drafted by the Tennessee Titans.
While the Denver Broncos may consider taking a chance on Nix, it’s also plausible that the Las Vegas Raiders might be interested in him. Both teams are in search of a talented young quarterback and could target Nix in the first or second round of the draft.
Denver will certainly be an intriguing team to monitor during the draft, given the uncertainty surrounding their plans. Taking a chance on a quarterback like Bo Nix could be a strategy that head coach Sean Payton and the Broncos’ management opt for.
