However, his agency believes that the Red Sox’s offer does not reflect his true value as a player, and Casas defers to their expertise in assessing his market worth.
Triston Casas has expressed his willingness to consider contract extensions and remain open to negotiations not only for the 2024 season but also beyond.
“We’ll have a better understanding after this year. Hopefully, I can stay healthy and contribute fully to the team’s success, giving them a clearer picture of my long-term value,” Casas stated. “While we haven’t reached an agreement on financial terms yet, it doesn’t mean I’ll shut down talks in the future, whether during the season, next week, or anytime.”
The 24-year-old has emphasized his desire to stay with the Boston Red Sox for the entirety of his career.
“I aim to set a positive example for future players. I want to make it clear to the fans that I’m committed to this team for the long haul,” Casas affirmed. “I’m fully invested in winning and being a part of this organization for many years to come.”
