Sebastian, one of Australia’s most accomplished and enduring artists, has been a steadfast supporter of the Club for many years.

With six #1 singles on the ARIA chart, Sebastian holds a unique place in Australian music history. Although he has resided in Sydney since his victory on Australian Idol in 2003, his heart has always remained with the Adelaide Crows, the team he grew up cheering for in South Australia.

Despite his music career, Sebastian has maintained a strong connection to his beloved team, regularly attending matches and showing unwavering support through both triumphs and challenges. Reflecting on his new role as Club Patron, Sebastian expressed gratitude and excitement, emphasizing the honor it holds for him.

“For me, it’s an incredible privilege,” Sebastian remarked emotionally. “Sport has always been a significant part of my life, having grown up playing footy and cricket here in Adelaide. Supporting the Crows has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I’m thrilled to be able to contribute in this capacity.”

In addition to his music career, Sebastian is known for his role as a Coach on The Voice and his philanthropic efforts through The Sebastian Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife Jules in 2013.

The foundation’s partnership with the Adelaide Crows Foundation, particularly the Open Parachute program aimed at promoting mental health awareness among South Australian youth, underscores Sebastian’s commitment to making a positive difference in the community.

Tim Silvers, CEO of the Adelaide Crows, highlighted Sebastian’s deep-rooted connection to the club and his dedication to community work as driving factors behind his appointment.

“Guy’s passion for the Crows has been evident for decades, and his commitment to improving the lives of others aligns perfectly with our values as a club,” Silvers stated. “His appointment as Club Patron is a testament to his unwavering support and his desire to make a meaningful impact beyond the football field.”

Sebastian joins successful businessman Rob Gerard as Club Patron, while Carolyn Hewson, a prominent company director, assumes the role of female patron, further strengthening the club’s leadership and community engagement efforts.
