Alabama football’s running back corps is drawing praise this spring, particularly from within the team itself.

Tyler Booker, the starting left guard for the Crimson Tide, shared his excitement and confidence in the group’s potential ahead of Saturday’s A-Day game.

“I’m very excited for all of them because everybody is getting better,” Booker said. “I’m seeing so much growth from everybody.”

Booker highlighted the progress of redshirt freshman Richard Young, noting his improved patience and decision-making on the field.

“Richard [Young] used to see a hole and hit it,” Booker said. “Now he’s being a little more patient. Reading everything. I’m very excited to see him perform.”

Additionally, Booker emphasized the impact of junior Jam Miller, describing him as a dominant force whenever he takes the field.

“Jam [Miller], whenever he’s been out there, he’s been a force,” Booker said. “So I’m excited to see him get more reps this year.”

Justise Haynes, another promising talent in Alabama’s running back stable, made a notable impact as a true freshman last season. With 168 rushing yards and two touchdowns, Haynes showcased his potential and looks to play a significant role in the upcoming 2024 season.

As players like Young and Miller continue to progress, Haynes adds depth to the team’s running back rotation. His development, along with that of his teammates, reflects the overall improvement in the running back room observed by Booker.

Booker, alongside the talented running backs he supports, is preparing to showcase their skills at the highly anticipated A-Day game on Saturday. Kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CT.
