The Carlton Reserves have announced their lineup for the upcoming Round 4 VFL match against Port Melbourne. Returning to the fold are Alex Cincotta and Alex Mirkov, both of whom provide valuable additions to the team. Cincotta was managed in the previous game against Collingwood, while Mirkov has been reintegrated after a conditioning block during training. Cincotta’s performance in the midfield during the opening game against North Melbourne showcased his potential, although his role for the upcoming match is yet to be determined, particularly with the team facing shortages in the defensive area.
Once again, Carlton’s defensive lineup undergoes changes due to various reasons. Lewis Young and Lachie Cowan have earned AFL selections, resulting in their absence from the VFL team. Dom Akuei and Billy Wilson are sidelined due to concussions sustained in the previous game, while Sam Durdin serves the final game of his suspension. Bailey Lambert, who impressed with three goals on debut last week, is unavailable due to a calf injury. Making his VFL debut is Jess Gedi, adding to Carlton’s list of debutants this season, which now totals 10. Also joining the team are Aiden Mills and Logan Prout.
