Fabrizio Romano has revealed that AC Milan star Olivier Giroud has inked a contract with LAFC until December 2025. The French international, set to depart Milan as a free agent in June, has finalized terms with the Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit. Earlier reports had indicated Giroud’s agreement on personal terms with LAFC in March, but the formal signing of the contract was confirmed on Tuesday night, ensuring his move to the American club on a free transfer.
Having secured the Serie A title with Milan in his inaugural season at the club after joining from Chelsea in 2021, the 37-year-old forward has contributed significantly with 15 goals and nine assists across 42 appearances in all competitions this term. Giroud’s move to LAFC positions him alongside teammate Hugo Lloris, the French goalkeeper reportedly eager to reunite with him in Los Angeles for the upcoming season.
