Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice provided positive updates on Wednesday regarding center Sam Bennett’s injury status. Maurice anticipates Bennett will be sidelined for at least a week after being hit by a slap shot from Brandon Montour during Tuesday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Consequently, Bennett will not travel with the team for their next two games in Tampa. In his absence, Maurice noted that Anton Lundell will step into Bennett’s role on the second line.
