“It’s a bit of a strange feeling (to draw). It’s not the real sinking hollow feeling of a loss, it hurts just as much, but you take just as much confidence out of that game as any other,” Heppell commented.

He praised the team’s resilience throughout the game, highlighting their commitment to their game plan and their ability to control the contest. Despite facing pressure from Collingwood during certain periods, Heppell commended the defensive efforts, particularly from himself and Vice-Captain Andrew McGrath, in containing the Pies’ attack.
