Winnipeg Jets defenseman Brenden Dillon will miss Sunday’s Game 4 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver. This absence is due to a hand injury sustained during a post-game altercation following Winnipeg’s 6-2 loss in Game 3 on Friday. Dillon suffered a laceration on his left hand during a scuffle involving Avalanche forward Brandon Duhaime, which led to blood dripping from the back of his hand as he left the ice.
The Jets currently trail 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
Taking Brenden Dillon’s place in the lineup will be Logan Stanley. Dillon, who notched 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) and a plus-20 rating in 77 games this season, will be absent due to his injury.
A seasoned veteran at 33 years old, Dillon boasts an impressive career record, amassing 196 points (37 goals, 159 assists) and a plus-66 rating across 892 games with the Dallas Stars, San Jose Sharks, Washington Capitals, and Jets.
