The Warriors have recently acquired a bar and they’re seeking your input for its name.
A public request on the NRL team’s Instagram page has garnered numerous suggestions since its launch on Wednesday morning.
Creative options such as ‘It’s Our Beer’, ‘Wah Bar’, and ‘Up The Bars’ are currently leading the pack, with contenders like ‘The Backfence’, ‘Wahs Ki Runga’, and ‘Church’ not far behind.
Other noteworthy suggestions include ‘Ma Te Wah’, ‘The Gym’ (for humorous reasons), and ‘Pinot Wahs’.
The Warriors’ venture into the hospitality sector was revealed in March.
Warriors CEO Cameron George explained to RNZ that the move aims to broaden business opportunities and revenue streams while enhancing fan engagement.
“We highly value our fans’ contributions to our football club and our future, and this is just another way to involve them in our endeavors.”
“We’re eager to see the names that come in over the next few days.”
The Warriors-themed sports bar will be situated in the Auckland suburb of Kingsland.
