New York Jets rookie quarterback Jordan Travis has expressed his enthusiasm for learning from future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers ever since joining Gang Green in the 5th round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
However, one of Rodgers’ former teammates appears skeptical about Jets rookies receiving similar treatment from the veteran quarterback.
Recently, Jets’ rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley shared that Rodgers offered him to stay in his guest house, indicating a close relationship between them. However, former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Amari Rodgers cast doubt on this gesture with a now-deleted tweet, suggesting that Corley and other Jets rookies shouldn’t expect the same level of attention from Rodgers.
Amari Rodgers, a former college football player at Clemson University, was drafted by the Packers in the 3rd round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Despite his short-lived NFL career, he now plays in the United Football League with the Birmingham Stallions.
Amari Rodgers’ anecdote about Rodgers aligns with previous reports from last fall, suggesting that he distanced himself from backup quarterback Zach Wilson after Wilson’s Achilles injury, despite publicly expressing support for him.
Additionally, former Packers quarterback Deshone Kizer shared a story about Rodgers, stating that when they first met, Rodgers asked him, “You believe in 9/11?” This further illustrates Rodgers’ tendency to engage in unconventional conversations or behaviors.
