Louisville has granted a scholarship offer to Canadian prospect Gabriel Osenda, a 6-foot-7.5, 300-pound offensive tackle who relocated to Clearwater (Fla.) Academy International last year. Since then, he has garnered interest from college programs, including the Cardinals.

As an early three-star prospect, Osenda shared news of his offer from Louisville on May 9.

“I was extremely excited,” expressed Osenda to Cardinal Authority. “It’s an incredible opportunity to receive an offer from one of the premier schools in the ACC, especially one that competed in the ACC championship game.”

Louisville joins a cluster of programs that have extended early offers to Osenda, including Auburn, California, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Tennessee, West Virginia, and others. Osenda is enthusiastic about establishing a connection with the UofL coaching staff.

“I’m eager to continue fostering a relationship with them,” he stated.

As the offers keep rolling in for Osenda, he outlined his criteria for selecting his future school to 247Sports earlier this month.

“I’m seeking a place that will feel like home,” Osenda explained. “I want to arrive there and immediately feel like I belong. I aim to be surrounded by good individuals, those with whom I can develop strong relationships. I desire a positive rapport with my offensive line coach, fellow players, and the program’s staff.”
