Leeds United are exploring options to strengthen their attacking midfield, particularly if Archie Gray or Crysencio Summerville depart this summer.

The 26-year-old Coventry City attacking midfielder is set to leave as a free agent when his contract expires this month. Southampton and Burnley are considering moves for O’Hare, who declined contract extensions at Coventry and is weighing his next move.

Leeds have monitored O’Hare’s situation closely and have now entered the race to sign him on a free transfer.

The direction of Leeds’ transfer window hinges on various factors. While aiming for automatic promotion next season in the Championship, their ability to enhance the squad will depend on financial constraints set by the EFL. Retaining players like Summerville or Gray will significantly influence their transfer strategy.

If Summerville departs, Leeds will seek attacking reinforcements. Several clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea, and Brighton, are interested in Summerville, although the player himself is not pushing for an exit.

O’Hare could serve as a direct replacement for Summerville. Capable of playing centrally or on the left flank, his potential free transfer makes him an attractive option.

During the 2023-24 season, O’Hare featured in 36 matches across all competitions, contributing 10 goals and four assists. Widely regarded as one of the Championship’s top playmakers, his acquisition by Leeds would be beneficial regardless of Summerville’s decision.

In other Leeds United news, the club remains keen on securing a 28-year-old right-back this summer.
