Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is confident about the upcoming 2024 NFL season, emphasizing Houston’s elevated expectations. Unlike last year, when they defied predictions to win their division, the Texans are now seen as serious contenders as they prepare for training camp.

“We’re ready,” Dell remarked, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2. “We’re all excited. We know we have a target on our back. We’ve got a lot of goals: Super Bowl, playoffs, things like that. So we’re ready to go to work.”

Dell’s rookie season in 2023 was cut short by a broken leg after 11 games, during which he logged 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns as the team’s second receiver behind Nico Collins. With the acquisition of Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills this offseason, Dell is likely to play as the No. 3 receiver.

Looking ahead to his sophomore season, Dell expressed optimism about his development: “I’m way better. I feel like I’ve improved a lot since last year. I already know the playbook from my time on the field before the injury. Now, I’m just focused on daily improvement. I know I’m prepared.”

With a potent offense led by second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud and bolstered by new additions like Danielle Hunter on defense, the Texans are seen as formidable challengers in the AFC, particularly to teams like the Kansas City Chiefs.

While acknowledging that opponents will be more prepared for them this season, Dell appears poised to meet the challenge head-on.
