USC Trojans Extend Offer to Three-Star Cornerback Shamar Arnoux

Over the weekend, the USC Trojans made a significant move in their 2025 recruiting efforts by offering a spot to three-star cornerback Shamar Arnoux from New Carrollton (Ga.) High School. This offer is particularly intriguing as Arnoux is a teammate of Julian Lewis, the five-star quarterback who has already committed to USC. The offer was extended during Arnoux’s official visit to Auburn, where he was accompanied by Lewis.

Standing at an impressive 6-foot-2.5 and weighing 170 pounds, Arnoux has made a name for himself on the high school football scene. He is rated as a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite, holding the No. 369 overall prospect ranking and the No. 31 cornerback position. In the 247Sports rankings, he is listed as the No. 60 cornerback. His performance on the field has been notable, with Arnoux recording 15 tackles, including one for a loss, and defending one pass in eight games.

The recruitment of Arnoux adds another layer of excitement to USC’s future roster, especially given his connection with Lewis. Their established chemistry could translate into a stronger, more cohesive unit for the Trojans. Arnoux’s size and skills make him a valuable asset in the secondary, and his presence could bolster USC’s defense significantly.

However, USC faces stiff competition in securing Arnoux’s commitment. Florida State, Georgia, and Auburn are all considered top contenders for the talented cornerback. Each of these programs offers strong football traditions and robust recruitment pitches, making Arnoux’s decision one to watch closely.

For USC, landing Arnoux would be a strategic win, potentially solidifying a pipeline from New Carrollton High School and enhancing their defensive lineup with a promising young talent. As the recruitment process progresses, the Trojans will undoubtedly be eager to see if their offer, combined with the presence of Lewis, can sway Arnoux to join their ranks.

The coming months will be critical as Arnoux weighs his options and visits other programs. USC fans and coaching staff alike will be keeping a close eye on his decision, hopeful that the bond between Arnoux and Lewis will play a pivotal role in bringing another top-tier athlete to Los Angeles.
