Three more players committed to the Tigers last week, and that might just be the beginning.

Missouri football secured three new commitments after hosting groups of Class of 2025 prospects on official visits over the past month. Four-star offensive guard Henry Fenuku started the week by committing on Monday, June 10. Three-star safety Dyllon Williams from Demopolis, Alabama, followed the next day, and four-star running back Jamarion Morrow from Germantown, Tennessee, rounded out the week by committing on Friday night.

Now, an even more packed weekend of official visits is on the horizon. Over a dozen recruits are expected to be in Columbia starting Friday, making it the Tigers’ largest single gathering of prospects this year.

If everything goes according to plan, this could become one of Missouri’s most successful recruiting weekends ever.

Missouri is capitalizing on their 11-2, Cotton Bowl-winning 2023 season, which placed them among the top 10 teams in the final polls—a position they are likely to hold in the 2024 preseason rankings.

Morrow had official visits to Alabama and Texas A&M, while Fenuku visited Ohio State. Both chose Missouri, which seems to have become a significant player on the recruiting trail.

Here’s an updated look at Missouri’s progress in the 2025 recruiting cycle, their first chance to fully leverage their recent on-field success, and the prospects they’re targeting to complete this class:

With Morrow, Fenuku, and Williams on board, Missouri now has 10 players committed to its Class of 2025. These commitments have boosted the Tigers in national team rankings by major recruiting services.

Missouri’s class is now ranked 30th in the nation by 247Sports’ composite rankings. Among the 29 teams ahead of MU, only Oregon has fewer commits than the Tigers’ 10, suggesting that Mizzou is likely to rise further as they add more recruits. Rivals currently ranks Missouri’s next class at No. 27 in the country, while On3, the first site to rate Mizzou quarterback pledge Matt Zollers as a five-star prospect, ranks Missouri’s class at No. 17.

The Tigers’ average star ranking is 17th nationally and 10th in the SEC, according to 247Sports. A successful weekend could place Mizzou comfortably in the top half of the SEC standings, a rare achievement since joining the conference.

Missouri’s top-ranked class so far was in 2022, when the Tigers were ranked 15th nationally and sixth in the SEC, aided by the recruitment of Luther Burden III from East St. Louis. If Mizzou hits its targets, that record might be surpassed.

Who will visit Missouri football this weekend?
Several of Missouri’s visitors this weekend are already committed to the Tigers, including Zollers, Morrow, top in-state recruit Jack Lange, and Daeden Hopkins from Hermann, Missouri.

Here are some uncommitted prospects visiting Missouri on Friday:

– Jayvan Boggs, four-star wide receiver
– Jacob Washington, four-star wide receiver
– Charles Bass, four-star defensive back
– Corey Simms, four-star wide receiver
– Donovan Olugbode, four-star wide receiver
– Trent Oiler, three-star tight end
– Mark Manfred, three-star cornerback

Boggs has Missouri in his top two alongside UCF, which is near his hometown of Cocoa, Florida. Simms has Mizzou in his top three with USC and Penn State. Olugbode has MU in his top five with Oregon, USC, Washington, and Florida.

What does Mizzou still need in Class of 2025?
While Missouri is trending positively for several recruits, they still need to secure commitments from multiple wide receivers. The Tigers are set to lose starters Luther Burden III and Theo Wease Jr. at the end of the season, leaving seven scholarship wideouts on the roster. Indications suggest that the Tigers are trending in the right direction to add to this group.

On offense, Missouri could benefit from adding a tight end, with three current players at the position eligible through 2025. The additions of Fenuku and Lange replace outgoing presumed starters Cam’Ron Johnson and Marcus Bryant, but another commitment seems to be a target. Several offensive line prospects visited Missouri in the past month.

Another defensive back, specifically a safety, would be useful. Missouri will lose four key players in its defensive backfield either this year or next: Daylan Carnell, Joseph Charleston, Tre’Vez Johnson, and Sidney Williams Sr.

Where is Missouri looking strong in Class of 2025?
Zollers, Missouri’s first pledge in this recruiting cycle, is rated as a top-five QB in his class. With Morrow bolstering the running back room, the Tigers are in a good position at tailback as well. On defense, Missouri seems set at defensive end and linebacker, with two commits at each position. The Tigers have sufficient numbers at cornerback and may try to add another defensive tackle, with Kristian Williams out of eligibility at the end of this season. However, the Tigers have already secured four-star prospect Jason Dowell for 2025.

Looking further ahead
Missouri is also looking at the Class of 2026. Rivals recruiting analyst John Garcia Jr. reported that Michael Clayton II, a four-star QB in the Class of 2026, visited Mizzou and received an offer. Rivals rates Clayton as the No. 212 national prospect and No. 13 quarterback in his year. Clayton is from Sanford, Florida, where he will play his junior season at Seminole High.
