Over the past two years, Nottingham Forest have acquired Danilo and Murillo from Palmeiras and Corinthians, respectively.
The Reds are continuing their search for talent in Brazil and are working to secure Corinthians’ Carlos Miguel during the summer transfer window. However, he is not the only player on their radar.
According to UOL, Nottingham Forest are now targeting Palmeiras youngster Riquelme Fillipi. The 17-year-old forward has yet to make his senior team debut and is currently part of Palmeiras’ U20 side, where he has scored four goals and provided one assist in 14 games this year.
Riquelme has attracted attention from European clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Paris Saint-Germain, and FC Porto. Nottingham Forest have taken a step further by submitting an “official proposal” of €5m, consisting of a €2.5m fixed fee and €2.5m in bonuses.
The report states that Palmeiras have not yet responded positively to Nottingham Forest’s offer, as they have received concrete interest from both PSG and Porto, though there is no mention of these clubs submitting offers.
If Nottingham Forest manage to outbid PSG and Porto for Riquelme, he will not be able to arrive in the UK until he turns 18 in September and will also need to secure a work permit.
