The Boston Red Sox should focus on strengthening their team now rather than selling players.

The Red Sox are currently in a strong position and are expected to improve further soon. Outfielder Wilyer Abreu will return shortly, and first baseman Triston Casas is also nearing a comeback.

Given this, Boston should explore all options to enhance their offense immediately. The lineup could use more power, and Miami Marlins slugger Josh Bell might be a suitable addition. Bell has been involved in trade rumors throughout the season and is likely to be moved before the trade deadline. The Red Sox need more power, and Bell could fill that gap. Acquiring him soon would allow Casas ample time to recover fully.

Once Casas returns, Bell could provide valuable depth at first base and designated hitter. Boston needs some right-handed power, and Bell, as a switch-hitter, could deliver that much-needed boost.

While there may be bigger names available in the trade market, the Red Sox don’t necessarily need to make a major move. Acquiring someone like Bell could offer immediate help while Casas is out and provide essential depth once the young slugger is back in action.
