What a fantastic weekend for Kentucky!

After securing commitments from Nicholas Smith on Friday and Preston Bowman earlier on Saturday, Kentucky has now added Demarcus Gardner to their roster.

Gardner, originally committed to UCF, has switched his pledge to Kentucky. The 6-foot, 170-pound athlete from Cedartown High School in Georgia officially visited Kentucky on June 14th. Although he currently plays cornerback and wide receiver, he is expected to focus on defense in college.

Gardner had other scholarship offers from USF, Minnesota, SMU, Georgia State, East Carolina, Troy, and others. He is ranked 745th overall and 84th in Georgia according to 247 Sports Composite.

Chris Collins and Anwar Stewart are listed as Gardner’s primary recruiters for Kentucky.
