Following the news, Hartenstein made an Instagram post that quickly gained traction, amassing over 23,000 likes and 2,000 comments in under two hours.
He captioned the post: “NYC, thank you for taking my family in and making my time there so special. Every time I went out on the court, I always gave it my all for the city, and I felt the love right back. NYC will always have a special place in my heart. All love #foe.”
Last season, the Thunder finished as the first seed in the Western Conference with a 57-25 record. However, they were eliminated by the Dallas Mavericks in the second round of the NBA playoffs, losing the series in six games.
