Live Updates:
• On defensive coordinator Corey Batoon: “He’ll have a few wrinkles of his own, but for us, it’s still about stopping the run, confusing, harassing, hitting the quarterback, and winning situational football… Whoever’s calling the plays must maintain those fundamentals.”

• “We have a lot left to prove to achieve the consistency and success we aim for. I understand there are a lot of outside expectations for our program. For us, the key is to focus on running our own race.”

• Drinkwitz acknowledges the loss of Cody Schrader, emphasizing that replacing his energy and mindset in the locker room will be more challenging than replacing his on-field performance.

• He stresses the importance of not dwelling on last year’s success: “That was last year. Last year has nothing to do with this year. We, as a team, brotherhood, coaching staff, and players, have to form our own identity and develop our own chemistry.”

• Drinkwitz begins his session by honoring the late Monte Kiffin: “His legacy on the game has impacted many coaches and great players… The game of football lost a superhero this week.”
