The Auburn Tigers are still in the hunt for 2025 five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola, according to a report by On3’s Steve Wiltfong. Babalola, who plays for Blue Valley High School in Kansas, is ranked as the 15th overall player in the 2025 class, the third-best at his position, and the top player from Kansas.

With recent recruiting buzz surrounding Auburn, Babalola may have found something appealing in the program. Landing the 6-foot-6, 280-pound lineman would be a significant boost for the Tigers, who struggled with protecting their quarterback last season, allowing 34 sacks—the fifth most in the SEC, even including Texas and Oklahoma.

However, how close is Auburn to securing Babalola? While there’s no Crystal Ball Prediction on 247 Sports, On3 still isn’t optimistic about Auburn’s chances, despite the recent update. Referencing a famous line from *Dumb and Dumber,* On3 gives Auburn just a 1% chance of landing him. Stanford is currently the favorite with an 88% chance, followed by Michigan at 3.2% and Oklahoma at 1.9%.

The recent recruiting buzz might give Auburn some leverage to pursue another major recruit, but as things stand, landing Babalola would be a huge upset.

If Auburn manages to secure Babalola, he would be the highest-rated offensive recruit for the team so far. The Tigers already have three offensive linemen committed for 2025: one four-star and two three-stars. Their top-ranked offensive player currently is four-star wide receiver Derick Smith from Southside High School in Alabama.

Despite the uncertainty around Babalola, Auburn is performing well on the recruiting trail, holding the fifth-ranked recruiting class according to 247 Sports and sixth by On3, rebounding from a drop into the low teens in mid-June.
