The Baltimore Ravens have unfinished business heading into the 2024 season. After securing the top seed in the regular season, the Ravens suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.

Such setbacks often fuel motivation for the following season. However, could the Ravens find themselves negotiating with the Tennessee Titans, a team eager to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2021?

Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports listed “10 NFL players who could be traded next,” highlighting Malik Willis, currently the Titans’ third-string quarterback, as a potential trade candidate. Benjamin mentioned that the Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers could be “potential fits” for Willis:

“Once seen as a potential successor to Ryan Tannehill, the former third-round pick has reportedly improved as a passer this summer. However, he remains firmly entrenched as the No. 3 quarterback behind rising young starter Will Levis and new backup Mason Rudolph. The Titans likely still value his mobility at age 25, but another team might offer him a direct backup role.”

It could be intriguing to see if the Ravens invest in their backup quarterback position. Josh Johnson, currently listed as QB2 for Baltimore, is 38 years old and may not remain in the league beyond 2024.

This trade might be minor but could have interesting implications for the future of the Ravens’ backup quarterback role.
