The Philadelphia Eagles are beginning to trim their roster now that the preseason has concluded. After months of speculation, the fate of veteran defensive back James Bradberry is about to be revealed. With numerous rumors swirling, it’s still unclear what the Eagles will decide.
Philadelphia might opt to retain the All-Pro, who is currently transitioning to safety, or they could part ways with him, either through a trade or by releasing him. The decision will be made soon, and according to Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine, a move to the Las Vegas Raiders could be a possibility.
“Who He Could Help: Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders,” Ballentine noted. “Bradberry might not be suited to play as an outside cornerback anymore, but his impressive 2022 campaign shows that he wasn’t entirely at fault for his struggles last season.
“The most obvious fit would be Arizona. His elite performance in 2022 was partly due to defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, who is now the Cardinals’ head coach. However, Bradberry could also reunite with another former coach, Patrick Graham, who is the defensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders and previously coached Bradberry with the New York Giants.”
Bradberry has been linked to several teams, and there’s still a chance he could remain with the Eagles. The decision is imminent, and the outcome will soon be known.
