The Tennessee Titans faced tough decisions as they trimmed their 90-man training camp roster down to the final 53 players for the 2024 season. It’s important to note that this roster could still see changes before the Titans take on the Chicago Bears in Week 1.

After a series of transactions and a few surprising trades, here’s a breakdown of the initial 53-man roster:

**Quarterbacks (2):** Will Levis, Mason Rudolph
The Titans opted to keep just two quarterbacks. Malik Willis was traded to the Green Bay Packers ahead of the NFL cut deadline in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

**Running Backs (3):** Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Julius Chestnut
Julius Chestnut secured the RB3 spot over Hassan Haskins, thanks to his dual-threat abilities as a ball-carrier and pass-catcher. Chestnut posted 78 rushing yards on 22 carries during the preseason.

**Wide Receivers (6):** DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, Tyler Boyd, Treylon Burks, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Jha’Quan Jackson
The Titans settled on six wide receivers for their roster. Injuries late in training camp hindered Kearis Jackson and Mason Kinsey, while Bryce Oliver’s preseason performances weren’t enough to secure a spot.

**Tight Ends (5):** Josh Whyle, Chig Okonkwo, Nick Vannett, David Martin-Robinson, Thomas Odukoya
In a surprising move, the Titans decided to keep five tight ends on the roster. Both David Martin-Robinson and Thomas Odukoya impressed the coaching staff and earned their spots.

**Offensive Linemen (9):** JC Latham, Peter Skoronski, Lloyd Cushenberry, Dillon Radunz, Nicholas Petit-Frere, Andrew Rupcich, Daniel Brunskill, John Ojukwu, Jaelyn Duncan
One of the more unexpected decisions was cutting OT Geron Christian, who was viewed as the clear backup left tackle for Latham. Instead, the Titans chose to keep second-year players John Ojukwu and Jaelyn Duncan.

**Defensive Linemen (4):** Jeffery Simmons, T’Vondre Sweat, Sebastian Joseph-Day, Keondre Coburn

Will Levis voted NFL Rookie of the Week

**Outside Linebackers (5):** Harold Landry III, Arden Key, Jaylen Harrell, Rashad Weaver, Caleb Murphy

**Inside Linebackers (7):** Kenneth Murray Jr., Ernest Jones, Jack Gibbens, James Williams, Otis Reese IV, Luke Gifford, Cedric Gray
In another surprising move, the Titans retained seven inside linebackers. Although the trade for Ernest Jones from the Rams hasn’t been finalized yet, the Titans are keeping almost everyone in their deep linebackers room.

**Cornerbacks (4):** L’Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Awuzie, Roger McCreary, Jarvis Brownlee Jr.

**Safeties (5):** Amani Hooker, Quandre Diggs, Jamal Adams, Elijah Molden, Mike Brown
Mike Brown edged out hometown favorite Matthew Jackson for the final safety spot. The Titans kept just four cornerbacks, making their secondary depth a point of interest.

**Specialists (3):** K Nick Folk, P Ryan Stonehouse, LS Morgan Cox
Brayden Narveson had a notable preseason moment, but it wasn’t enough to unseat veteran Nick Folk, who led the NFL in field goal percentage in 2023, converting 29 of his 30 attempts.

The Tennessee Titans have finalized their initial 53-man roster, and one of the more surprising aspects is that they’ve decided to keep only four cornerbacks. The team announced that L’Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Awuzie, Roger McCreary, and Jarvis Brownlee made the cut. Many expected at least one of Caleb Farley, Tre Avery, Gabe Jeudy-Lally, or Eric Garror to be included, but that didn’t happen.

Given this situation, it’s likely that the Titans will add to their cornerback group before the season begins, and one potential target is veteran cornerback James Bradberry. According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Titans have been in talks with the Philadelphia Eagles about a trade for Bradberry. While it’s unclear what the Eagles are seeking in return, he shouldn’t come at too high a price.

Bradberry has a connection with the Titans, having played under defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson when Wilson was the defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator for the Eagles in 2022. Though Bradberry was once considered one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL, his performance has declined in recent years. Despite that, he could still provide valuable depth for the Titans, assuming the trade terms are favorable.

In addition to his cornerback duties, Bradberry has been tried out as a safety by the Eagles this year, although reports suggest that transition hasn’t gone smoothly. Nonetheless, don’t be surprised if Bradberry ends up wearing the Titans’ two-tone blue in the near future.
