Blackson, 31, was originally a fourth-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was set to enter the second year of a four-year, $2.85 million rookie contract but was waived when the Titans cut their roster to 53 players. He then joined the New England Patriots’ practice squad before moving to the Houston Texans in 2017, where he later signed a three-year, $12 million deal.
Houston released Blackson after the 2020 camp, and he signed with the Arizona Cardinals. In 2021, Blackson inked a two-year contract with the Chicago Bears. After his stint in Chicago, he signed with the Ravens for the 2023 season but was cut following the preseason. He then briefly joined the Jaguars and later signed with the Broncos in April 2023, who also cut him after the preseason.
In 2023, Blackson appeared in 11 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars, recording 13 total tackles, two tackles for loss, no sacks, and three fumble recoveries.
