Somehow, Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy will be active for Sunday’s home opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. Despite suffering a fractured orbital bone during the third quarter of the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 5, Van Noy is making a remarkable recovery and is back on the field just 10 days later. He returned to practice on Friday, albeit in a limited capacity.
Unfortunately, not all Ravens players are as fortunate. The full list of inactives includes:
– CB Nate Wiggins
– S Beau Brade
– CB T.J. Tampa
– OLB Adisa Isaac
– C Nick Samac
– G Sala Aumave-Laulu
– WR Devontez Walker
Wiggins and Isaac were listed on the injury report throughout the week, with Wiggins out due to a neck injury from a car accident and Isaac doubtful with a hamstring issue. The remaining five players are healthy scratches.
Interestingly, six of the seven inactive players are rookies, with Aumave-Laulu being the only exception. While it was always expected to be challenging for rookies to make an impact on a strong roster, it’s notable that nearly all of the Ravens’ draft picks this year are inactive.
For the Raiders, the inactive players are:
– DE Tyree Wilson
– RB Dylan Laube
– CB Decamerion Richardson
– WR Tyriek McAllister
– S Thomas Harper
– G Jackson Powers-Johnson
– WR Ramel Keyton
Wilson is the most significant absence among them, having suffered a knee injury in last week’s season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Kickoff at M&T Bank Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET, just over an hour away.
