Could the Philadelphia Eagles trade a Pro Bowler after just a brief stint with the team? It seems like a possibility.
The Eagles signed Pro Bowl linebacker Devin White this offseason to a one-year, $7.5 million deal, expecting him to play a key role. However, White missed the season opener due to injury and has yet to make it onto the field.
Though White is now healthy, it appears he may have lost his spot in the lineup. He has remained professional, saying the right things and staying ready for his next opportunity, but a potential trade could be on the horizon.
FanSided’s Mike Luciano speculated that the Las Vegas Raiders might be a possible destination for White. Luciano mentioned that while Philadelphia’s defense performed well against the New Orleans Saints, some of their offseason acquisitions, including White and Bryce Huff, have not lived up to expectations.
Luciano also noted that Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, a former linebacker and linebackers coach, might be able to maximize White’s talent. However, White may be running out of opportunities in Philadelphia, prompting speculation about a trade.
It’s still too early to know if the Eagles will trade White to the Raiders, but the possibility remains.
