The Michigan Wolverines hosted a few key recruits over the weekend during their game against Minnesota, including a player committed to an ACC program who seems open to flipping his commitment. In today’s Recruiting Roundup, we cover this and more updates.
Jamar Browder, a 2025 three-star wide receiver from Lake Worth, Florida, has been committed to NC State since June but remains open to other options, including Michigan. After visiting the Wolverines for the Minnesota game, Browder told On3’s EJ Holland that he believes he could make an impact at Michigan, especially seeing the team’s need for help at the wide receiver position. He expressed that he connected well with the coaches and could see himself thriving in Michigan’s big-game atmosphere. Ron Bellamy, Michigan’s wide receivers coach, emphasized the team’s need for his size and skill. Currently, Michigan’s leading receiver, Semaj Morgan, has only 62 receiving yards after five games, which highlights the potential opportunity for a player like Browder. Browder is expected to make an official visit for the Oregon game in November, which could lead to a possible commitment flip.
Another recruit Michigan is eyeing is Christian Evans, a 2025 three-star defensive lineman committed to Virginia Tech. Evans, who visited Michigan for the first time during their game against USC, described the visit as exciting and said it was the best game he had seen in person. He also toured the football facilities and met with the strength and conditioning staff, learning about the team’s training and nutrition programs. While Evans didn’t receive an offer from Michigan during the visit, he remains a prospect to watch, especially if the Wolverines extend an offer.
Additionally, Breck Kolojay, a 2026 four-star offensive lineman from IMG Academy, also visited Michigan for the USC game. Kolojay was impressed by the Wolverines’ offensive line, especially during critical moments of the game. He met with offensive line coach Grant Newsome and noted that Michigan would play a significant role in his recruitment. Kolojay’s IMG teammates, Kaden Strayhorn and Donovan Johnson, are already committed to Michigan’s 2025 class, and Strayhorn has been actively recruiting Kolojay to join the team.
In quick updates, 2025 four-star safety commit Ivan Taylor visited Alabama over the weekend but is expected to return to Michigan for their next home game against Michigan State. Also, 2026 five-star cornerback Elbert Hill included Michigan in his top-10 list, and Michigan extended offers to two 2026 defensive linemen, Cameron Brickle and Damari Simeon.
