The Buffalo Bills have made some notable changes to their practice squad, signing kicker Lucas Havrisik while releasing wide receiver Ahmarean Brown. Havrisik, 25, has had an eventful journey in the NFL since going undrafted after his college career at Arizona, where he spent five years as a kicker.

Initially, he joined the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad during the 2022 season but was released shortly after. He later re-signed with the Colts on a futures contract for the 2023 season, only to be waived again after the preseason. Havrisik then found himself on the Browns’ practice squad and briefly on the Rams’ active roster during the 2023 season, where he made 15 of 20 field goal attempts and 19 of 22 extra points in nine games.

After rejoining the Browns on a futures deal in 2024, Havrisik was released once more in June but was brought back to their camp before being cut again prior to the regular season. Now with the Bills, Havrisik is looking to provide depth at kicker, competing for a spot to potentially contribute to the team in future games.

In tandem with this move, the Bills released wide receiver Ahmarean Brown, who had been part of the practice squad. The team currently has a well-rounded practice squad lineup, including notable players such as QB Mike White, RB Frank Gore Jr., WR K.J. Hamler, and DE Kingsley Jonathan. With Havrisik now added to the mix, the Bills are continuing to fine-tune their roster as the season progresses.

The updated practice squad list now includes a variety of positions, from quarterback and running back to wide receivers, tight ends, and defensive linemen, all poised to step up when needed.
