Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins seems disinterested in following the recent trend of star wide receivers being traded midseason. On the same day that Davante Adams was traded to the New York Jets and Amari Cooper was sent to the Buffalo Bills, Hopkins addressed the rumors surrounding his own potential trade. When asked about these speculations leading up to the Titans’ Week 7 matchup against the Bills, Hopkins expressed confidence in his current situation.

Hopkins, 32, acknowledged the rumors but appeared unfazed, stating, “I’ve been playing for a long time. My mind is very much set on Buffalo this week.” He emphasized that his focus remains on football and his current team, saying, “I love my life. I love where I am. God put me where I need to be, and He always will. I play football.” Despite the trade buzz, Hopkins seems content with his role and the team, noting that he wasn’t even aware of his name being floated in trade talks until recently.

While Hopkins’ production has dipped slightly in the last few seasons, with just 14 receptions for 175 yards and a single touchdown over five games this year, his performance can be partly attributed to quarterback Will Levis’ struggles in his second season. However, this hasn’t dampened Hopkins’ outlook on his 12th NFL season, as he continues to enjoy his time in Tennessee. His social media presence further suggests that he is in good spirits and happy to remain with the Titans for now.

Though his recent numbers may not be on par with his past All-Pro seasons, Hopkins remains a valuable asset to the Titans. Whether the team entertains trade offers for him before the NFL trade deadline or decides to keep him, it is clear that Hopkins is staying focused on his contributions to the Titans’ success and not letting external noise affect his mindset. For now, the veteran wideout seems committed to helping his team rebound from a 1-4 start, as they prepare to face the Buffalo Bills.
