The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that three players will be unavailable for Sunday’s rematch with the Tennessee Titans: offensive tackle Walker Little (ankle), linebacker Ventrell Miller (ankle), and safety Darnell Savage, who remains in the concussion protocol. Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson confirmed that Savage and Miller are expected to miss the game, and Little will also be sidelined.
Pederson did note that everyone else on the roster is healthy heading into the game, with outside linebacker Yasir Abdullah listed as questionable due to illness. On the Titans’ side, star running back Tony Pollard is questionable with an ankle injury, having missed practice all week. Pollard had a significant impact in their Week 14 matchup, rushing for 102 yards and contributing 22 yards in the passing game.
His availability remains uncertain, but the Jaguars will have a better chance if Pollard is unable to play. Without Pollard, the Titans’ offense could lose one of its most dynamic players, particularly given that he set the tone for their offense with several consecutive runs in their last game. Pederson acknowledged Pollard’s importance to the Titans’ run game but emphasized that the next-man-up mentality would be crucial for both teams, regardless of who is available. He expects the Titans to continue focusing on the run game, even without Pollard, in an attempt to set up their play-action, screen game, and involve their skill players.
