The Denver Broncos are set to honor the 1977 season with a special throwback look for their Week 18 home finale against the Kansas City Chiefs. Returning to Empower Field at Mile High, the Broncos will wear their 1977 throwback uniforms for the second time this season, after previously debuting them in Week 5 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
These throwback jerseys pay homage to the team’s iconic Orange Crush era, particularly the 1977 season, which marked Denver’s first Super Bowl appearance. The distinctive orange jerseys feature large white numbers with Legacy Blue trim, paired with pants that include an orange-and-Legacy Blue stripe. The helmets showcase the classic “D” logo on a Legacy Blue shell, along with a white facemask and a vertical orange stripe. Additionally, the Broncos will complete the look with orange-and-blue striped socks.
In Week 5, the Broncos defeated the Raiders 34-18 while wearing these throwback uniforms, and the 1977 Super Bowl team was honored during the game. Denver will hope to repeat that success on Sunday as they aim to secure their first playoff berth since 2015, with the game set to kick off at 2:25 p.m. MT.
