With the 2025 NFL Draft approaching, speculation is growing about the Philadelphia Eagles potentially trading their No. 32 pick. Despite notable offseason departures, the reigning Super Bowl champions still boast one of the league’s most talented rosters. The team has already made several moves, but reports suggest more transactions could be on the horizon.
As mock drafts circulate in anticipation of the draft, NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein recently released his third mock of the offseason, predicting that the Eagles will trade their No. 32 overall selection to the New Orleans Saints. According to Zierlein, the Saints would use the pick to draft Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart, a rising prospect linked to several teams.
Zierlein explained the rationale behind the projected trade, noting that teams like the New York Giants (No. 34) and Las Vegas Raiders (No. 37) could be in the market for a quarterback. Since the Saints hold the No. 40 pick in the second round, moving up to No. 32 would allow them to secure their preferred signal-caller before those teams have a chance to do so.
New Orleans currently owns the No. 9 pick in the draft, which is likely too high for Dart. By executing this trade, the Saints could address a key position early in the draft while also acquiring a potential quarterback of the future. If the trade comes to fruition, it could be a win-win scenario for both teams, with the Eagles adding extra draft capital while the Saints secure their next leader under center.
