The undercard features two world championship defenses, adding more anticipation to the Munguia vs. Ryder event. Jaime Munguia, the former world champion with an impressive record of 43-0, is set to face off against former title challenger John Ryder.

The co-main event, presented in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions, will feature a historic title defense by Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (8-0, 6 KOs) from Villalba, Puerto Rico. Collazo will be defending his WBO Minimumweight World Championship against Reyneris Gutierrez (10-1, 2 KOs) from Matagalpa, Nicaragua.

Set for a 12-round battle, Collazo enters the ring following an impressive knockout win over Garen Diagan in front of his hometown fans in Puerto Rico.

“Less than a week away from my second world title defense, I feel great and at my best moment,” said Oscar Collazo. “As always, we are prepared and focused on what we will do on January 27 and leave the ring with our hand raised.

“We have a solid strategy in place, similar to our past fights, and we are prepared to provide an exciting performance for the audiences in Arizona, Puerto Rico, and on DAZN. I appreciate the opportunity from Miguel Cotto Promotions and Golden Boy to be part of such a significant card, showcasing a thrilling main event between Jaime Munguia and John Ryder.”

During the DAZN broadcast, rising knockout sensation Darius “DFG” Fulghum (9-0, 9 KOs) is set to defend his WBA Continental USA Super Middleweight Title in a 10-round match against the skilled Alantez “SlyAza” Fox (28-5-1, 13 KOs).

In another matchup, IBF Female Flyweight World Champion Gabriela Fundora will put her title on the line in a ten-round clash against Christina Cruz.

The DAZN broadcast will kick off with a ten-round super bantamweight bout featuring David Picasso Romero and Erik Ruiz.

On the preliminary card, there are additional matchups including Daniel Garcia vs Daniel Lugo, Gregory Morales vs Ronal Ron in a super bantamweight clash, former Gael Cabrera vs Miguel Ceballos in a four-round bantamweight bout, and the opening fight of the night will be Johnny Cañas vs William Davis.

The 12-round super middleweight bout for the WBC Silver Title is co-promoted by Zanfer Boxing and Matchroom Boxing. The event is scheduled to be held at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday, January 27, and will be broadcast globally on DAZN at 6:00 p.m. MST/5:00 p.m. PST.
