Blake Geoffrion recalls his introduction to the NHL with a humorous hotel encounter involving Sergei Kostitsyn in Dallas during his delayed arrival, sharing this and more anecdotes in his book “Legacy on Ice: Blake Geoffrion and the Fastest Game on Earth.”
Geoffrion, along with author Sam Jefferies, is set to visit Smashville to promote their book and engage with fans, providing insight into his remarkable journey in professional hockey.
Growing up with strong hockey lineage, including great-grandfather Howie Morenz and grandfather Bernie Geoffrion, both Canadiens legends, Geoffrion’s NHL career began after being drafted by the Predators in 2006. Despite a promising start, his career took a drastic turn following a severe injury in 2012 while playing for the Hamilton Bulldogs in the AHL.
Transitioning to roles in scouting and management after retiring from playing, Geoffrion embraced the opportunity to collaborate with Jefferies on sharing his story, which he hopes will inspire others.
Geoffrion’s event in Smashville offers fans a chance to connect, with special ticket packages including a game ticket, pregame reception, and an autographed copy of “Legacy on Ice.” Reflecting on his journey, Geoffrion acknowledges the highs and lows of his career and expresses gratitude for the support he received along the way.
