An NRL team is reportedly engaging in discussions with former Wests Tigers recruitment manager Scott Fulton regarding a potential role at the club.
Fulton parted ways with the Wests Tigers earlier this year, following his appointment by Justin Pascoe and Lee Hagipantelis. Previously, he had a long-standing presence in off-field capacities at the Manly Sea Eagles.
Notable for his involvement in securing signings such as Latu Fainu and Samuela Fainu for the Wests Tigers, Fulton was instrumental in recruiting players like Josh Schuster, Jason Saab, Tolutau Koula, and Haumole Olakau’atu at Manly.
According to reports from News Corp, Scott Fulton is currently in discussions to join the St George Illawarra Dragons in a recruitment role, as the club undergoes rebuilding and significant changes.
Scott, the son of rugby league Immortal Bob Fulton and father of Zac Fulton, has been a prominent figure in off-field recruitment efforts, following his playing career with the Manly Sea Eagles, where he made 49 first-grade appearances and scored four points between 1993 and 1999.
Reflecting on his departure from the Wests Tigers earlier this year, Fulton expressed some disappointment but also gratitude for his time there, particularly under previous management.
He stated, “These things happen in rugby league, and we’ll move on and look for the next opportunity. I wish the club all the best.”
