Beau McCreery is currently undergoing the twelve-step concussion protocols following a head knock in Friday’s game. An update on his recovery progress will be provided next week.

Young defender Tew Jiath suffered an ankle injury during Collingwood’s VFL defeat to Southport on Saturday. Despite completing the game, Jiath experienced more discomfort than anticipated during recovery. Scans confirmed a minor grade syndesmosis, and he will wear a moonboot for the remainder of the week, with an expected absence of two to three games.

Jordan De Goey will miss Sunday’s clash with West Coast due to a groin issue that also sidelined him in the previous week’s win. The midfielder is anticipated to commence running activities towards the end of next week, with the medical team confident in his availability for Round 10.

Midfielder Tom Mitchell, expected to return this week after missing the last game due to a foot injury, has been hospitalized due to appendicitis. Once cleared by the specialist overseeing his appendicitis treatment, Mitchell will begin a running program. His return to full fitness is expected for next week’s Round 10 fixture.

Josh Eyre is making good progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury, although he has reached a plateau in terms of running speed, hovering around 85 to 90 percent. This is a common occurrence in long-term hamstring injuries like his. Over the next few weeks, he is expected to increase his running speed pending certain gym markers. Full training is anticipated in approximately two weeks, with a return to playing expected in three to four weeks.

Ruckman Oscar Steene is now walking comfortably in a moon boot and has commenced light rehabilitation activities, including a strength program, following successful toe ligament surgery. He will continue wearing the moon boot for another three weeks before transitioning to running preparation.
