Richmond has made four changes to its lineup for Saturday night’s game against Brisbane at the Gabba. Second-year forward Steely Green will make his AFL debut against the Lions. The 20-year-old was selected by the Tigers with pick No. 55 in the 2022 NAB AFL Draft.
Joining him in the Round 10 team is youngster Kane McAuliffe, making his third senior appearance after an outstanding performance in the VFL, where he recorded 25 disposals, 10 tackles, and two goals.
Small forward Matthew Coulthard, 23, has been named for his first AFL game of the season, adding to the four he played last year.
Wingman Kamdyn McIntosh, who was omitted last weekend, returns after tallying 21 disposals, four inside-50s, four tackles, and eight clearances in the VFL.
These inclusions replace the injured quartet of Maurice Rioli (syndesmosis), Jack Graham (hamstring), Sam Banks (concussion), and Seth Campbell (knee).
Richmond’s three emergencies are Kaleb Smith, Jacob Koschitzke, and Samson Ryan.
Richmond senior coach Adem Yze stated that the Tigers are heading north with “a plan to make it tough for Brisbane to get the win.”
“We’ve got a big opportunity to rectify last weekend’s performance against a really good side up in Brisbane,” he said. “They’re a terrific team across all three phases… we’ll give it our best shot.”
The Round 10 clash at the Gabba kicks off at 7.30pm and will be broadcast live on Channel 7, FOX FOOTY, and Kayo Sports.
