The Boston Red Sox have faced numerous injuries early in their 2024 season, but they are gradually seeing some players return, with another potentially on the way back.

According to Chris Henrique of Beyond the Monster, right-handed reliever Isaiah Campbell is set to start a rehab assignment with the Worcester Red Sox, Boston’s Triple-A affiliate.

Campbell has been on the 15-day injured list for over a month due to a right shoulder impingement.

In his seven appearances this season, Campbell has recorded a 12.79 ERA and a 2.05 WHIP. Despite these poor numbers, the majority of the damage came from his last two outings, where he allowed eight of his nine earned runs over two innings against the Baltimore Orioles.

Boston will need to make a decision once Campbell is ready to return.
