**Adam Saad Returns as One of Three Changes for the Blues**

Carlton has announced three changes for Saturday’s clash with Gold Coast, including the return of Adam Saad. This will be Saad’s first game since Round 5, playing against the team where his AFL career began. The All Australian defender had an impressive start to the 2024 season before being sidelined by a medium-grade hamstring strain. His return is expected to add significant bounce from the back half for the Blues.

Also returning to the lineup is Lachie Fogarty, who has been out since Round 4 due to a wrist injury. Known for his forward pressure, Fogarty led the competition in forward-50 tackles before his injury. He aims to bring the same intensity in his first game back since April.

Lachie Cowan rounds out the inclusions, earning a recall after being the best player for Carlton Reserves in their recent after-the-siren loss to Williamstown.

Marc Pittonet is out due to a finger injury, while Caleb Marchbank has been managed. Corey Durdin has been omitted from the squad. The interchange will feature Jordan Boyd, Jack Carroll, Alex Cincotta, Fogarty, and George Hewett, with the final sub to be announced an hour before the game.

Additionally, Jesse Motlop will make his first appearance of the 2024 season for the Carlton Reserves on Saturday morning, returning via the VFL against the Suns at IKON Park.
