The Seattle Mariners reactivated left-hander Tayler Saucedo from the 15-day injured list on Sunday.
Saucedo, 30, injured his right knee while covering first base in the eighth inning of a game against the Minnesota Twins on May 7. During a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday, he pitched one scoreless inning, striking out one batter.
This season, Saucedo has a record of 1-0 with one save and a 2.70 ERA in 14 relief appearances for Seattle. Over his career with the Toronto Blue Jays and Mariners, he has a 4-2 record with two saves and a 4.03 ERA in 99 appearances.
Additionally, the Mariners optioned right-hander Eduard Bazardo to Tacoma on Sunday.
Bazardo, 28, has a 1-0 record with a 5.87 ERA in five relief appearances this season with Seattle. In his career, spanning 31 relief appearances with the Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, and Mariners, he has a 2-0 record with a 3.77 ERA.
