Clemson is aiming to enhance their quarterback roster by offering a rising talent in the 2026 class. While current recruiting efforts are focused on the class of 2025, with top uncommitted players taking official visits to various schools, Clemson is also planning for the future.

Currently, Clemson boasts the third-best recruiting class for 2025 according to 247Sports. Head coach Dabo Swinney and his team recently bolstered this standing by securing commitments from four-star cornerback Graceson Littleton and rising three-star offensive guard Rowan Byrne following their visits to Death Valley.

While Clemson continues to target the top remaining prospects for 2025, they are also actively pursuing future recruits to build relationships that could lead to commitments. On Saturday, they extended an offer to 2026 four-star quarterback Tait Reynolds. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Arizona native received the scholarship offer from Swinney during his visit to the campus.

Reynolds is a multisport athlete, excelling in both football and baseball. This versatility has led talent evaluators to describe him as having “big-time arm talent,” similar to elite professional quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray, as well as past greats like Tom Brady and Russell Wilson.

Although he holds a three-star rating from all four major recruiting sites, On3’s Industry Rankings, which averages these ratings, lists him as a four-star prospect. This makes him the 16th-best quarterback in the country for his class.

His recruitment journey will be interesting to follow, especially if he decides to specialize in one sport or pursue both at the collegiate level. As the top high school baseball player in Arizona, he has already committed to playing baseball at Arizona State.

Clemson has made it clear they are interested in Reynolds, regardless of his ultimate decision.
