**Auburn Tigers News: Eric Winters Commits to Auburn Football, Baseball Team Adds Two Transfers**
In today’s Auburn Tigers news, Auburn football secures a commitment from Eric Winters, while the baseball team strengthens its roster with two new transfers.
It was a significant recruiting weekend for Auburn football, with over 10 official visitors exploring the campus. Among them was 4-star safety Eric Winters, who, after spending the weekend with the Tigers, committed to the program.
Hailing from Enterprise, Alabama, Winters is ranked as the #7 safety in the 2025 recruiting class and the #5 prospect from the state. Although Georgia and Miami were strong contenders, Auburn’s family atmosphere and Charles Kelly’s impressive resume swayed Winters to choose the Tigers.
With Winters’ commitment, Auburn has now secured four of the top 10 players in Alabama, boosting the team’s recruiting class to #6 nationally.
**Auburn Baseball Adds Two Transfers**
Meanwhile, the Auburn baseball coaching staff was active in the transfer portal over the weekend, adding brothers Sam and Andrew Dutton from Southside, Alabama, who played high school baseball at Westbrook Christian.
Sam Dutton, a pitcher, joins from LSU, where he started 15 games and made 57 appearances over three years. Last season, he recorded 29 strikeouts and only six walks in 27.2 innings pitched. He is the most high-profile addition among the five players Auburn has acquired from the transfer portal this offseason.
His older brother, Andrew Dutton, transfers from Birmingham-Southern for his fifth year. As an infielder, he started 49 games, hit seven home runs, and had 42 RBIs, leading the Panthers with a .340 batting average.
